The most powerful train in the world is the General Electric Big Blow locomotive, with 8500 horsepower.

　　Even though this locomotive has taken such a domineering name as Big Blow, it is still no match for electric-driven trains in this world. Big Blow was born in 1955, and it adopted the design of three-section locomotive, which can produce 8500 horsepower in generate. The first locomotive consists of cab and diesel engine compartment, the second locomotive is occupied by a gigantic ten-cylinder gas turbine, and the third locomotive contains 24,000 gallons of fuel. This 8,500 horsepower is still obtained at an altitude of 6,500 feet and a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius above zero. In the cold months, Big Blow can even reach 10,000 horsepower at an altitude close to sea level.
